PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY JOINS AS NEW PLATINUM PARTNER
The Bad Homburg Open will embark into the future with a strong partner at its side: As of now, the research-based pharmaceutical company Lilly is the platinum partner of the grass-court tournament to be held from 20 to 27 June this year.
Health, performance, innovation and the highest standards – these are all crucial success factors playing a key role in both top tennis and the pharmaceutical industry.
Excellence, innovation – and a special anniversary!
Lilly combines healthcare with a spirit of research, and develops innovative therapies positively impacting people’s lives worldwide. Since its foundation, the company has researched, developed and made available approximately 100 medicines. The company based in Bad Homburg is the German subsidiary company of Eli Lilly and Company, one of the leading pharmaceutical corporations in the world celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Coincidentally, so too will TC Bad Homburg on the site where the Bad Homburg Open tournament will be staged.
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder to help the tournament develop sustainably
“Thanks to Lilly, an innovative life sciences company, we have the perfect partner by our side which interprets its responsible role within the German healthcare sector in a customer- and value-oriented manner,” said tournament director Dr. Aljoscha Thron about the new partner and continued: “At the same time, Lilly’s commitment is a strong affirmation of the Bad Homburg location, emphasising the region’s attractiveness for leading international companies.” This solidarity helps to “sustainably further develop” the Bad Homburg Open tournament and “to strengthen the event's appeal long-term.”
Lilly with certified ‘economy for the common good’ balance sheet and Bad Homburg as its home
For instance, in 2019, Lilly was the first company in the pharmaceutical sector to prepare an externally audited and certified ‘economy for the common good’ balance sheet. “For 150 years, Lilly has spared no effort to improve people’s lives. Bad Homburg has been the headquarters and home of our location in Germany for more than 50 years. Driven by this bond, we gladly support the Bad Homburg Open in 2026 and beyond," emphasised Dr. Alexander Horn, General Manager of Lilly Deutschland. Together with our new Platinum Partner Lilly, we are already looking forward to experiencing many inspiring matches, sunny tournament days and a summer festival atmosphere with Wimbledon flair at the Kurpark.
