RECORD YEAR 2025: BAD HOMBURG OPEN POWERED BY SOLARWATT

In the recently concluded tennis summer, the fifth edition of the Bad Homburg Open powered by Solarwatt will surely be remembered for being special. And not just because of the best draw to date which featured six top ten players, a total of 60,000 visitors on site during the tournament days or the dream final between the six-time Grand Slam winner, Iga Swiatek, and the former US Open finalist, Jessica Pegula.

For Swiatek, in particular, the stop in Bad Homburg evolved into a success factor on her Road to Wimbledon: Exactly two weeks after her defeat to Pegula at the Kurpark, the Polish player went on to capture the most prestigious title in women's tennis on the sacred grass at London’s Church Road.

In keeping with the first small anniversary of the boutique tournament, during the last week of June, several new records were set! Overall TV coverage amounted to 26.2 million – a total of 4,389 hours was broadcast from the Kurpark to 149 countries worldwide.  

The highest TV ratings (2.3 million) were achieved on the fifth day of the tournament, the quarter-final Thursday, when spectators had the chance to witness five top ten players on the Spielbank Bad Homburg Centre Court alone!

In addition to Germany, the European market was mainly dominated by Poland. The international and significantly increased interest in the Bad Homburg Open by Solarwatt event was particularly high in the USA, as well as in South Africa and China.  

Social media reach exceeds 9 million – more than 12,000 online articles worldwide

The record year of the most significant tournament in the week leading up to Wimbledon also rounds off by a substantial growth in other media areas: The reach of the Bad Homburg Open powered by Solarwatt social media platforms exceeded 9 million (more than 1 million interactions).

A total of 12,615 online articles in more than ten languages were published worldwide about the eight-day event at the TC Bad Homburg history-rich venue – with a potential reach in the hundreds of millions.
